It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pittsburgh native and Pittsburgh Holiday Doo Wop promoter Richard Nader on December 1, 2009 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Mr. Nader's vision and foresight have helped fans to continue to enjoy the music of the 50's and early 60's even today.

"I have had the great pleasure of working with Richard over the past decade. There is no doubt that Deborah Nader, Richard's co-promoter and wife, will continue to build on his extraordinary legacy." remarked Jay Roberts, Mellon Arena's General Manager

To honor his memory, the Nader family has requested that all donations be made to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Richard's name. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was near and dear to him, as he represented and promoted many legendary artists who have been inducted into this prestigious organization.

Monetary donations will be accepted on Friday evening at the Pittsburgh Holiday Doo Wop Reunion Show VIII at Mellon Arena and by submitting
directly to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum:
